I am a creature of habit when it comes to recipes. I wish I tried new things more often, but usually when I make something that turns out well it quickly becomes my go to recipe. This summer it has been Oreo Pudding Pie. It is SO easy & every time I make it/ take it somewhere it is gobbled up by the crowd in minutes. I found the recipe on the insert in the Oreo pie crust, but have made a few changes.
Ingredients:
Oreo pie crust
2 packages Jell-O Orea Flavor Instant Pudding
1 tub of Cool Whip, thawed
2 1/2 cups cold milk
Package of Oreo cookies
Directions:
Mix milk & dry pudding mixes.
Beat with wire whisk for 2 min
Still in about 3/4 of the Cool Whip
Mix in a bunch of crushed Oreo cookies
Pour into pie crust
Refrigerate
Top with more crushed Oreos or a few Oreo halves (or however you would like to decorate!)
When we were at the beach, I didn't have an Oreo pie crust & made the recipe in a large rectangular pan instead & used crushed Oreos on the bottom. This was a great way to make it for a large group of people!
2 things I can promise you: this recipe is easy to make & it will be a hit!
And now my favorite new kitchen accessory:
Julie & I recently got sets of Hang Tight Towels from Missy MadeWell. They have brightened up my kitchen AND I actually still have a towel hanging at the end of the day. My tornado toddler loves to run through the house tearing down anything she can: cute hanging kitchen towels are always her first victim. Not anymore! These towels don't go anywhere.
Melissa, the shop owner, created these towels for the very reason I love them. She got sick of her 1 year old pulling down the dish towel every time he walked through the kitchen. She went looking for a "modern" looking towel that didn't have crochet, snaps or buttons in order to hang them & couldn't find anything. So after a few "prototypes" she came up with the Hang Tight Towel.
Melissa is offering all of our readers FREE SHIPPING for the next 2 weeks with code: HANGTIGHT
She is also giving one lucky winner $20 to spend in her awesome shop! I'm so excited to have this extra giveaway this week - because Moms should win a little something for themselves too.
Good luck readers & thank you Missy MadeWell!

We have a winner: Amber M. Thank you for entering everyone!
We were not compensated for this post, however we did receive items for review from Missy MadeWell.
Hi! Just visiting from your Crayon Freckles post. Lovely cheerfully chirpy blog you have. I hope you'll visit my blog sometime. I wrote some books that might be of interest to a mom of preschoolers. Have a great day.

Your Oreo pie recipe sounds very good and I like that it is easy too! The towels look very handy and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love anything with Oreos on top and bottom. This looks delicious! I also love those towels. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is constantly picking my dish towels up off the floor. We have one with the crocheted top, but it is so old lady that I never use it.
ReplyDeleteLove the recipe, the towels, and that you shared at Must Try Monday!
