Where To Wednesday: Holiday Round-Up!

I really can't believe that the holidays are over!  Our tree is down, our Christmas decorations are down, my husband is officially headed back to work today and Aiden heads back to preschool tomorrow.

What a wonderful holiday season we had---although it goes by WAY too fast!!!!  Although we missed seeing our own parents and siblings on Christmas day, we are learning how to cherish the holiday as our own little family.  It's hard to live away from family at times, but I am thankful for all the wonderful memories that we are making with our kids during their early years!  Today, I'm going to share a some of the many adventures took during the holiday season...

We kicked off our December with a visit to our town's Santa Claus.  Aiden was SO excited while Andrew looks less than thrilled.  Although neither boy would sit on Santa's lap, neither shed tears (first year that has happened for us!).

The following week, Aiden was the "innkeeper" in his preschool Christmas play!  So proud of our big boy in his acting debut...

We spent the following weekend gathered with our friends, where Santa delivered a special present to us on the town's fire vehicles!  LOVE gathering with friends during the holiday season...

One thing that my husband has always wanted to see during the holiday season is the Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Gardens!  We headed into the city the following week to see this awesome exhibit where model trains run all through the botanical gardens and there are SO many New York landmark replicas.  My boys were in TRAIN heaven (and that includes my husband!) and I highly recommend visiting if you live around the area...

That weekend, we decided to take the train into NYC to see the Rockefeller Christmas Tree!!!!  I just love NYC at Christmas time and wished we could have spent more time in the city, but the temperatures took a quick dive while we were in the city and we had to limit our adventures to keep our kids healthy and happy!

My city loving Aiden waiting for the Subway and you know it's cold, when I can get my two year old to actually keep his hat on!

Of course, one of our adventures must include our Christmas Eve service.
My handsome boys all ready to go...

And we took a special trip this holiday week since Chris was off work most of the week to Philadelphia and the Please Touch Museum!  The boys had a BLAST and we are so thankful for these extra moments with their daddy home!

All in all, we had a wonderful holiday season with lots of great adventures as our little family!

  4. It looks like an incredibly busy, but fun holiday was had by all! We still have our tree up...and lights outside. I say the season STARTS on Christmas day--so we are still celebrating here! It's such a wonderful time of year I don't mind letting it hang around a little longer...although I could do with less pine needles...for sure!

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on my resolution post. Look forward to seeing more of you this year!
